ELDER SCROLLS ONLINE ALLIANCES
In TESO there are 3 main Alliances players can choose to align with: Aldmeri Dominion, Ebonheart Pact and Daggerfall Covenant. Each Alliance is established to help their respective King or Queen to ascend to the Ruby Throne; the throne which they believe they are the rightful rulers. Thus, all three Alliances are engaged in the war to make sure the rightful monarchy sits on the Throne of Tamriel.
Aldemeri Dominion
This Dominion is made up of thee races: Altmer (High Elves), Bosmer (Wood Elves) and Khajiit serving under Queen Ayrenn. The High Elves were the original settlers of Tamriel possessing in-depth knowledge as expressed in their architectural libraries and structures. High Elves are extensively skilled in magic. Due to the fact their history is ancient, they believe they are superior to other races thus justifying their war for the Ruby Throne. In times of peace, however, the High Elves remain on the Isle of Summerset, isolated from others.
Within the Dominion, the Wood Elves are their allies along with the Khajiit. Both races are extremely skilled in weaponry but not magic. Wood Elves are curious people and they have excellent marksmanship. Their skill in using bow and arrow are considered the best in Tamriel. Due to their small size, Wood Elves are agile on their feet thus they are the perfect scouts for weaving in and out of thick foliage.
The last race within the Dominion are the Khajiit, a race comprised of bipedal felines. Their race was dying off until the intervention of Queen Ayrenn whom aided their people from Knahaten Flu. The Queen and the Altmer helped the Khajiit from the flu and the chaos which ensued. Thus as gratitude, the Khajiit owe a great debt. They vow to serve Ayreen and her ambition to conquer the Ruby Throne by any means necessary. These cats are the forefront of battle once they are united into a strong army.
Ebonheart Pact
The Pact is made up to three factions which share distrust from one another: Nords, Argonians and Dunmers (Dark Elves). According to Tamrelic history, the Nords established themselves as the rightful rulers of Tamriel due to their ability to conquer without mercy. Fierce warriors but easily angered, the Nords are the leading faction within this glass-like Alliance.
Sharing the Pact with the Nords are the Dunmers. Both factions share a common dislike for one another due to their land was invaded by the Nords. The Dunmer race are skilled political strategists which the devise defensive strategies from provincial invasions. Due to their loss to the Nords, the Dunmer race is considerably a paranoid race which in turn transformed them into hardened warriors. The Dunmers are skilled in sorcery with their possession of high intellect and magical understanding.
The last addition to the Pact are the Argonians; a race of reptilian people which endured years of slavery under the Dunmers. Added to the Pact to increase the Pact's chances of winning the war, the Argonians are skilled scouts and defenders. In hand-to-hand combat, the Argonians are extremely skilled with blades and they are able to use magic as well. Learning their lesson from years of slavery, the Argonians take no pity on the enemy or perhaps, allies themselves.
